Nora and Matt had a wedding day to remember. As a lover of beautiful light and views, I was mesmerized by the spectacular panoramic views of DC Monuments and the breathtaking sunset at the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel. It was actually one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen. The entire sky was filled with intense orange billowing clouds that lit up the night sky as far as you could see and filled the ballroom with a beautiful glow. The ballroom decor was a starry night theme with royal blue uplighting and sparkling crystals dripping from tall floral arrangements on midnight black linen. The flowers were rich in color, oh so fresh and filled the room with a sweet fragrance.
The day was calm and relaxed from start to finish. All events were at the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel and guests were escorted from one ballroom to the next for the ceremony, cocktails and the reception. Moroccan traditions were woven throughout the day as the rings were carried in a small ladybug case (a symbol of good luck) and Nora wore a traditional Moroccan dress at the reception that was brought over from Morocco just days before the wedding. The surprise of the evening was a belly dancer who came into the ballroom wearing a candelabra on her head and mesmerized the crowd with her dancing and acrobatics.
Rich colors and festive dancing made the night one to remember. Congratulations Nora and Matt and best wishes for many more amazing sunsets together!
