Every so often I meet a couple and feel like I have known them forever. I met Allyn and Aaron two years ago for their engagement session. Allyn’s dad loaded up his pick up truck with a leather couch and drove it to our portrait location. Allyn’s nieces and nephews were in tow and the couple’s bulldog Jelly, eagerly waited to see what was going to happen next. What a fun day.
Two years later, the BIG day has finally arrived. Allyn is so creative I knew I was going to be inspired by all her details and special touches. And I was! Color, color everywhere! Their wedding was at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club just over the Bay Bridge. What a beautiful venue with ocean front views and gorgeous sunsets. The ceremony was on a rooftop with ocean breezes blowing organza draping and crystal flower chandeliers under their chuppah. The ballroom was sprinkled with gold linens and flowers everywhere. Teal sea fans in all the arrangements, ribbons and flowers hanging from more chandeliers, a whimsical wedding cake with of course two bull dogs kissing on top and an awesome band rocked the night away.
Emotions were high throughout the day. Some of my favorite photographs are from the parent dances. Being a mom myself, I know how emotional I can be when something special is happening in my child’s life. I was tearing up while editing these tender moments between Allyn and her dad and Aaron and his mom. The amazing day, the wonderful friends and family, all overjoyed for this special couple. I am so honored to have shared this day with you.
