Nikka and Stephen’s wedding day at The Inn at Little Washington was an extraordinary affair. One of their highlights was a private high tea at the Inn. This timeless tradition, hailing from the British Isles, found its way to The Inn and quickly became a beloved custom for guests. Starting their day with a private moment allowed Nikka and Stephen to enjoy the luxurious hospitality that The Inn is known for while sharing a quiet moment together before the wedding festivities began.
To truly enjoy and remember your wedding day, I encourage couples to take a moment, just the two of them, away from their friends and family. Some couples like to slip away for a moment during the reception, while others prefer to have time to talk before the ceremony. I was thrilled to capture Nikka and Stephen’s high tea in a journalistic style, to allow them the privacy of this experience. After sharing their first look, Nikka and Stephen retreated to the Inn’s cozy, sunlit tea room. The room exuded an air of sophistication with its fine china, delicate teacups, and a table adorned with an array of pastries and finger sandwiches. This was a moment of respite and reflection amidst the excitement of their wedding day. From the heartfelt laughter and joy that filled the room, every photograph tells a story of love, connection, and celebration.
