Elena and David were married two weeks ago at the Ronald Reagan Building in DC. It was a fun filled day starting with getting ready photos at the Willard Hotel followed by the “first look” in the lobby.
After the first look we walked to the Reagan Building and took portraits of Elena and David at the beautiful locations I had chosen for them. The light was beautiful that day and so were the bride and groom. We have so many beautiful portraits of the two of them it was hard to choose just a few to post! Check out the previous post’s Sneak Peek for more portraits.
Fun shots with the bridal party. I love to do interesting poses rather than the standard line up and smile. For every wedding I try and use the venue’s unique environment to add interest to the portraits. These were a lot of fun… check them out.
One amazing part of the day was that Elena’s mom made all of the dresses for the bridal party as well as the bridal gown! She did a fantastic job. Don’t you agree?
And now for the reception details. Elena and David had a mixture of center pieces, some high and some low. They had custom made wine bottles on the table as table numbers and little gift boxes and menu cards on the plates. Up lighting was a rich pink when dinner began and as it continued to get darker outside became a royal red hue.
Now let the fun begin with the hora…
As the dancing and partying continued, in walks a jester on stilts! It is a Peruvian wedding tradition to have a “Crazy Hour” filled with dancing and fun. The jester passed out hats, masks and glow sticks to all of the guests and everyone loved it! It was a fantastic way to end the night.
Congratulations Elena and David!

A note from the bride – Hi Pamela, The photos are AMAZING!!! We’re in Bali on our honeymoon but we stopped everything to look through them. We’re so happy with how they turned out. We’ll go through more carefully when we return and pick some to be printed out. Thanks for the great work!! Elena
