The bride has always loved the outdoors, so Great Falls Park in Virginia was the dream location for her ceremony. With the dramatic giant boulders, rushing Potomac River rapids, and breathtaking overlooks, this spot created a romantic and adventurous backdrop. Surrounded by family and close friends, the couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony filled with love and meaning.
Afterward, we explored the park for portraits. Yes—even in full wedding attire, they rock scrambled to capture the adventurous shots they envisioned! Those portraits against the natural beauty of Great Falls perfectly reflected their personalities and their love for the outdoors.
Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum Reception
After the vows, it was time for a change of scenery—and a dress change! The groom’s love of space came to life at the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum, part of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum near Dulles, VA.
The couple shared a second first look by the Discovery Space Shuttle, and it was every bit as magical as the first. The reception space was illuminated with romantic blue uplighting and a projected starry night sky on the dance floor—a nod to their love story and his passion for space.
The newlyweds wowed guests with a choreographed first dance that had everyone cheering. Toasts and speeches followed—full of heartfelt words, laughter, and happy tears. The combination of nature’s beauty and the wonder of space made their wedding day truly unforgettable.
