However, the recent wedding I had the privilege to capture at the Inn at Little Washington was a delightful first in many ways. From a private high tea to a one-of-a-kind “unity sandwich” and a spectacular fireworks show, this wedding had it all.
The Inn at Little Washington, known for its timeless charm and elegance, set the stage for this intimate wedding. Everywhere you looked, there was beauty, both inside and amidst the stunning grounds. The venue’s romantic atmosphere added an extra layer of enchantment to the day.
Nikka and Stephen, were an absolute joy to photograph. Their relaxed and easygoing personalities infused the day with a sense of fun and relaxation for everyone involved. Nikka and Stephen chose to have their first look in the serene garden of the Claiborne House. After this heartwarming moment, we strolled through the beautiful gardens to The Inn for their private high tea, setting the tone for the day.
Nikka beautifully incorporated her Hawaiian heritage into the wedding. Her flower crown, bouquet, and the ceremony itself featured elements from her cultural background, culminating in a flower lei exchange that added a meaningful touch to the ceremony.
Now, let’s talk about the “unity sandwich.” After the ceremony, Nikka and Stephen gathered their guests for a truly unique moment. Their friend and officiant humorously discussed their varying preferences in peanut butter, with Nikka favoring all-natural and Stephen taking a different route.
