June became late September and 100 guests became party of 12. Karen + Nick celebrated their wedding day at Nick’s parent’s new brewery in Nokesville, VA. They marked this special day with their families and adorable puppy Lexi. Cedar Run Brewery is not just a cool place to grab a beer, it’s also a great place to pick a pumpkin or cut down your Christmas tree. This working farm has so much to offer and lots of really beautiful places for taking gorgeous portraits. I enjoyed learning all about the farm from Nick’s dad Jim. I could have easily spent the day there scouting and enjoying the views and peacefulness of the farm. Jim took me all over the property on their 4 wheeler and showed me everything from a hidden stream to the new apiaries they recently acquired. Even though plans changed to a smaller affair, there were so many personal touches that added to the day’s sentiment. Nick’s dad made the wooden arch the couple was married under and their siblings performed the ceremony at sunset. The time for portraits around the property brought back memories for Nick and his brother and I enjoyed listening to their stories. The evening was filled with toasts, first dances, an intimate dinner and cake cutting. All the wonderful traditions beautifully designed. Joyful laughter and smiles filled the air as this fairy tale day continued into the evening. Everyone celebrated the true gift of family, love and the beginning of an exciting new life together. Congratulations!
