My camera is the tool that I use to convey what my eyes see and my heart feels. And oh how I miss documenting the joy of a wedding day! I long for the smiles, the sweet kisses and the excitement of weddings! The anticipation of upcoming nuptials could not make me more joyful. I want to see my brides and grooms in person, watch them say, “I Do” and boogie on down the isle with friends and family cheering!
Until then, I am excited to share a wedding from last spring at Top of the Town in Arlington. Top of the Town has a stunner of a view! Looking out over DC all lit up and sparkling, gorgeous sunsets over Arlington, and it’s all yours. No sharing spaces or hiding from another bride on your big day.
This adorable couple had a magnificent spring wedding. We were in luck! One late blooming cherry tree still had blossoms. At the Jefferson Memorial, we took some romantic portraits around the rotunda. I try to avoid the crowds for most of the portraits. I look for creative perspectives to help make that happen naturally. At the end, a few with all the tourists is also fun. It reminds me of the street photography from the 60’s. It’s so cool to look back and see the bustle of life and how people dressed during that era.
The ceremony and reception were both at Top of the Town. Check out the festivities and see the beautiful twilight hour portrait on the balcony as well as the amazing views this venue offers!
