Did I mention recently that my brother just tied the knot to the sweetest girl? I had the honor of photographing their wedding out at Stonewall Country Club and boy was it a great weekend. The weather was perfect, the bride and groom were gorgeous (of course!) and everything fell into place on their big day.
Beyond being family I have to hand it to the happy couple. I had them waking up at the crack of dawn for their mid morning wedding. They were up, on time and greeted me with smiles. From there we did their first look and I was so touched by their expressions. The entire day was filled with laughter and smiles. What a great start to a wonderful life together.
No bride or groomzillas to be had here. I sent Matthew and Sarah an email before their wedding telling them of the locations I had scouted at Stonewall. I labeled them “Lake” “Swamp” and “Weeds”! Of course I did not take them into an actual swamp… save that for the trash the dress session : ) Here are the photos from those three locations. Sarah’s dress did not even get a speck of dirt on it. I am always super careful to keep the couple as clean as possible while we shoot. I never want to put anyone in a situation where they feel uncomfortable. These are some of my favorite photos from the day.
Creative tables… Sarah and Matthew made the pinwheel center pieces and instead of having chargers on the table, they placed a page of their guest book at each place setting for guests to fill out and return to their album. Each page asked guests to give advice, talk about a favorite memory, draw a picture of the bride and groom and more.
Sarah hand painted her cake toppers. Of course we have the bride, groom and their two cats Annie and Pancakes!
Matthew and Sarah- We wish you all the best with your new life together. You make such a sweet couple and we are so happy to have you join our family Sarah! Congratulations!
