Tears of joy rolled down the cheeks of many while hugs and laughter abounded. It was a whirlwind day of heartfelt emotions. The morning began with grandma’s tears as she caught her first site of Melissa in her gown. She began telling stories of Melissa as a child and how it felt like just yesterday that she held her in her arms for the first time. Melissa’s sister Lizzy gave a heartfelt toast later in the evening and gave the happy couple an original painting she had made for them. And just before their first look, the tears of love Melissa had before seeing Avi for the first time. The day was filled with so much love and lots of laughter. It was a day that you never want to end. I loved being a part of it and witnessing each family’s love for Melissa and Avi.
