Jewels sparkled in the sunlight as scents of lavender and fresh cut florals filled the air. Each item on the sofreh held meaning and was perfectly placed. I love the symbolism that many cultures bring into their weddings. It makes the day rich while revealing the importance of tradition, culture and ancestry. Kas and Shima had a beautiful wedding at Woodend Sanctuary surrounded by lush green woods, tall grasses and birds singing. Some of my favorite parts of their day were the delicate flowers on Shima’s gown, gorgeous bouquets, a stunning sofreh and the sweetness of family and friends that surrounded them.
